Seasonal Field Staff - Equalization
Job Description
Job Title: Seasonal Field Staff (Uncertified)
Department: Equalization
Reports To: Director of Equalization
Summary:
Assist certified staff appraiser in performing onsite inspections of property. Collect data (dimensions, material, photos, etc.) on individual properties. Compile information in a clear and concise manner.
Job Duties:
- Assist certified staff in conducting on-site property inspections. Including the measurement of structures, review of submitted plans, and assessment of physical attributes of the property.
- Assist in completing building permits as filed with county and municipalities within the county.
- Remain informed about changing state laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to learn building construction techniques, methods and materials.
Ability to read and interpret directions, manuals and other written guidelines.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Ability to lift/move maximum of 30 pounds unassisted and a maximum of 50 pounds with assistance. Prolonged walking over uneven terrain move objects in the field and to operate a variety of field equipment.
