Highway Maintenance Worker

We’re on the hunt for a dedicated Highway Maintenance Worker to join our team and help maintain our county’s highways, roads, and rights-of-way. This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to make a real impact on our community while enjoying a regular schedule and a fulfilling work environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Diverse Tasks: From patching pavement and repairing guard rails to mowing and plowing snow, your day will be full of varied and meaningful work.
  • Safety First: Operate and maintain essential equipment like maintainers, trucks, and loaders while ensuring all safety and traffic regulations are followed.
  • Community Engagement: Maintain positive public relations and uphold a professional appearance, as you’re a key part of our county’s image.

A Typical Day Includes:

  • Receiving and executing daily assignments
  • Handling and maintaining road repair equipment
  • Working on various highway related tasks from maintenance to Installing signs
  • Keeping detailed records and reports

Qualifications We’re Looking For:

  • License Requirements: Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 180 days of hire.
  • Skills: Knowledge of road maintenance materials, tools, and methods, plus the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
